This is one of the most beautiful and sought after Papillilaminum morphs. Original collected by Ralph Lyman. This clone differs from other Papillilaminum with its red veining and very wide sinus. Extremely dark and contrasting leaves. This is a Well established top cutting growing in spag moss and is pushing out a new leaf now. This is a selling of the original Ralph Lyman Clone.

The Anthurium papillilaminum is a species native to Panama and is recognized for its dark green elongated cordate (heart-shaped) leaves that grow on shorter petioles. This plant is terrestrial and its natural habitat is limited to the coastal areas of Colón and Darién Provinces in Panama, and found across the range up to an altitude of 100 meters above sea level. It belongs to the section Cardiolonchium of the Anthurium genus, which is characterized by its velvet-like leaves, although unlike its relative Anthurium crystallinum, it doesn't have silver veins on its leaves.

Anthurium Growing Tips and Care

  • Anthuriums thrive in bright filtered light, but we recommend avoiding direct sunlight.
  • They appreciate nice humidity levels, but aren't too picky about humidity.
  • These plants would do best in a semi-coarse potting mix and we recommend letting the (roughly top 2") of soil media  dry on the top of the soil before watering.
  • We recommend potting in a well-draining, coarse, and slightly acidic potting soil with rich in organic matter and  suggest repotting this fast-growing anthurium every two to three years.
  • We advise cutting off yellowing or browning leaves as they appear to keep the plant looking tidy and to discourage pests.
