Philodendron Corsinianum X is an old world hybrid. It has a beautiful red underside to the leaf and velvety green upper. The leaves will get huge on this plant over 3 feet and have a wavy undulated texture. Leaves are very thin and can damage easily

Corinasoum wqs ceated earlier than 1888 in the public gardens of ‘Le Cascine’ in Florence, Italy by the foreman, Mr. Ferdinando Ragioneri and the Director, Cav. A. Pucci. Recorded as a hybrid of P.lindenii (pollen) and P.lucidum (ovule). P. Lindenii is a synonym of P.verrucosum.  Considering the marcescent fibrous cataphylls, short internodes, vinaceous extrafloral nectaries, scalloped leaf margins, leaf blade size, red spotted spathe and other qualities of the inflorescence, there is a high possibility that the second parent is P.pinnatifidum. This species was widely available in collections in Europe at the time of creation of this hybrid.
First published in 1888 in Bullettino della R[eale] Società Toscana d’Orticultura and Won the Certificate of Merit by the Royal Agricultural and Horticultural Society of Ghent as part of an International Exposition in 1887.

Care and advice on growing
________________________________________________________________

This variety of philodendron prefers moist but well-draining soil and some humidity. It should be staked or allowed to climb up moss poles. In higher humidity environments, numerous aerial roots will form.
Philodendrons tend to grow best in medium to bright indirect light. They don't enjoy the strong sun from direct light but if the light is too low this will cause the stems to elongate and become photoamnesic, making the spaces between the leaves greater giving a leggy appearance.
Outdoors, philodendrons do well in partially shaded areas under trees. Full sunlight may cause the leaves of most species to become yellowish or develop sunburn spots. Variegated cultivars will need a little more light than non-variegated members of the same species. shopupz inactive
