The mother plant in this cross is a pure Anthurium Papillilaminum "Ree Gardens form".

The Ree Garden Papillilaminum is a long and dark form of Papillilaminum with a fairly wide sinus. Our plant is a clone from her original plant. 

This plant was acquired directly from Mrs. Marie Knock, owner of Ree Gardens. 

The Anthurium papillilaminum, from Ree Gardens, is a species native to Panama and is recognized for its dark green elongated cordate (heart-shaped) leaves that grow on shorter petioles. This plant is terrestrial and its natural habitat is limited to the coastal areas of Colón and Darién Provinces in Panama, and found across the range up to an altitude of 100 meters above sea level. It belongs to the section Cardiolonchium of the Anthurium genus, which is characterized by its velvet-like leaves, although unlike its relative Anthurium crystallinum, it doesn't have silver veins on its leaves​.

The pollen donor is: A. luxurians , the genetics we used exhibits  a wider sinus and very dark leaf color. 

Anthurium luxurians, also known as the Quilted Heart Anthurium, is a unique and dramatic species within the Anthurium genus. It features dark bronze-green foliage with extremely thick leaves, distinguishing it from other Anthurium species with its quilted texture and robust appearance​

• Anthurium Papillilaminum Ree Gardens x Luxurians thrive in bright filtered light, but we recommend avoiding direct sunlight.
• Anthurium Papillilaminum Ree Gardens x Luxurians appreciate nice humidity levels, but aren't too picky about humiity.
• Anthurium Papillilaminum Ree Gardens x Luxurians plants would do best in a semi-coarse potting mix and we recommend letting the (roughly top 2") of soil media  dry on the top of the soil before watering.
• We recommend potting Anthurium Papillilaminum Ree Gardens x Luxurians  a well-draining, coarse, and slightly acidic potting soil with rich in organic matter and  suggest repotting this fast-growing anthurium every two to three years.
