Care
Water regularly during the spring and summer months, but keep the soil dry in winter months, watering just enough so the plant does not shrivel. During growing season, the boobie cactus should be kept in a location with plenty of direct sunlight. During winter months, put them luminous place and encourage them to enter winter dormancy by withholding water and fertilizer over the winter.
Trichocereus bridgesii monstrose, also known as the "Penis Plant" or "Penis Cactus", is a clustering cactus that grows up to 2 feet tall. It has a prostrate growth habit, branching at the base and developing numerous cucumber shapes with long spines. The cactus is slow growing and takes on a light glaucous green color
Trichocereus bridgesii monstrose is cold hardy and does well in containers as a specimen plant. It can also do well in gardens if the soil is well draining.
In the wild, it grows in well-draining soil that is rich in minerals. It often grows in association with other cacti and succulents, forming dense and diverse communities.
