The Anthurium Papillilaminum is a species native to Panama and is recognized for its dark green elongated cordate (heart-shaped) leaves that grow on shorter petioles. This plant is terrestrial and its natural habitat is limited to the coastal areas of Colón and Darién Provinces in Panama, and found across the range up to an altitude of 100 meters above sea level. It belongs to the section Cardiolonchium of the Anthurium genus, which is characterized by its velvet-like leaves, although unlike its relative Anthurium crystallinum, it doesn't have silver veins on its leaves​.

• Anthurium Papillilaminum Fort Sherman thrives in bright filtered light, but we recommend avoiding direct sunlight.
• Anthurium Papillilaminum Fort Sherman will appreciate nice humidity levels, but aren't too picky about humidity.
• Anthurium Papillilaminum Fort Sherman plants would do best in a semi-coarse potting mix and we recommend letting the (roughly top 2") of soil media  dry on the top of the soil before watering.
• We recommend potting in a well-draining, coarse, and slightly acidic potting soil with rich in organic matter and  suggest repotting this fast-growing anthurium every two to three years.
• We advise cutting off yellowing or browning leaves as they appear to keep the plant looking tidy and to discourage pests.
