Philodendron Atabapoense

Philodendron Atabapoense is an unusual, unique & easy to grow indoor houseplant.

This philodendron has a very unique elongated leaf shape with a beautiful glaucous leaf color &  red abaxial underside. This plant will definitely be a  highlight of your collection and would appreciate a moss pole to climb so it can grow nice and big. 

Philodendron Atabapoense was identified to science in 1975, Philodendron Atabapoense is found primarily in the Amazonia region of Brazil and the southern portion of Venezuela. Typically, the species is found at an elevation of approximately 100 meters (300 feet) above sea level.

Care Tips for growing Philodendron Atabapoense

• Philodendron Atabapoense need about 6-10 hours of bright, indirect light. To intense of a light can cause the glaucous color to fade.
• Avoid placing it in direct sunlight, as this can scorch the leaves. The ideal location for this plant is in a west or east-facing room, about 2 – 3 feet away from the window.
• Philodendron Atabapoense doesn't require additional humidity. This plant absorb most water through their root system rather than their leaves, so the best way to provide humidity for your plants is through watering the soil. This plant is pretty hardy and will be happy in most soil conditions, however we recommend a well draining soil to prevent possible issues. 
•  Syngonium Podophyllum Aurea Variegata thoroughly when top inch of soil is dry. Keep soil evenly moist, but not soggy. 
• Philodendrons thrive in warm temperatures of 65-80ºF 
• Philodendrons can be grown upright or in a hanging/trailing basket
