Anthurium Papillilaminum Ree Gardens form

Anthurium Papillilaminum Ree Gardens is a long and dark form of Papillilaminum with a fairly wide sinus. Our plant is a clone from her original plant.

This plant was acquired directly from Mrs. Marie Knock, owner of Ree Gardens.

Anthurium Papillilaminum Ree Gardens:  is a species native to Panama and is recognized for its dark green elongated cordate (heart-shaped) leaves that grow on shorter petioles. This plant is terrestrial and its natural habitat is limited to the coastal areas of Colón and Darién Provinces in Panama, and found across the range up to an altitude of 100 meters above sea level. It belongs to the section Cardiolonchium of the Anthurium genus, which is characterized by its velvet-like leaves, although unlike its relative Anthurium crystallinum, it doesn't have silver veins on its leaves.

Anthurium Growing Tips and Care

  • Anthurium Papillilaminum Ree Gardens thrive in bright filtered light, but we recommend avoiding direct sunlight.
  • Anthurium Papillilaminum Ree Gardens appreciate nice humidity levels, but aren't too picky about humidity.
  • Anthurium Papillilaminum Ree Gardens  would do best in a semi-coarse potting mix and we recommend letting the (roughly top 2") of soil media  dry on the top of the soil before watering.
  • We recommend potting in a well-draining, coarse, and slightly acidic potting soil with rich in organic matter and  suggest repotting this fast-growing anthurium every two to three years.
  • We advise cutting off yellowing or browning leaves as they appear to keep the plant looking tidy and to discourage pests.
