Dorstenia gigas, famously known by its common name Socotra fig tree, is an adorable shrub-like tree with green pillowed leaves & one-of-a-kind star-shaped blooms. Growing up to 4 feet in height, this species originates from Socotra Islands and belongs to the Moraceae family.  This plant is winter dormant but still actively growing in our greenhouses!

Growth Rate
The growth rate of the Socotra Fig Tree is slow, but it can reach incredible heights.

Flowering
This plant bears gorgeous yellowish-green flowers during the Spring. Dorstenia gigas flowers have a unique appearance & give a good makeover to any corner.

Watering
Water these plants frequently from spring to fall. While watering them, allow the soil to dry out. On the other hand, you should use less water during the winter months when the plant is dormant.
